The extension on Wrights Terrace in Prahran is quickly coming to fruition. The windows are ordered and the framing is nearly complete. I’ve been collaborating with a great steel fabricator, Steve Galea on the retractable roof details and some fun little steel details to the columns, window surrounds and parapets.
I’ve been nerding out a bit on this project and had a bit of fun selecting brake winches, block and tackles, track profiles etc.
The retractable roof at AAMI stadium ain’t got nothing on this little ditty.
The builders (Jodans Building) have been patiently responding to some of my more persnickety requests and have been doing an all around excellent job carefully putting this baby together with very tight construction tolerances and speedy delivery times.
I’m also working through some interior options with the client who seems keen to go for it a little bit in terms of splashes of colour. I’m happy to oblige and have a little fun. Let me know in the comments section which one you prefer.
OPTION 3 (A BIT MORE TIMBER)
It’s been a busy week, I also finished up an exciting concept design for an impressive house in Mt. Eliza. Check it out here:
